There is no obligation to take the property. We will talk you through both options when we contact you as the winner.
Who pays the legal fees and taxes on the apartment?
We do. If you win and choose to take the apartment, we cover the legal fees, transfer taxes and notary costs involved in putting the property into your name. You receive the keys to your Costa Blanca apartment with the transfer taken care of, so there are no hidden bills to worry about.
Will I have to travel to Spain to complete?
We will handle as much of the process as possible for you. Completing the purchase of a Spanish property involves a notary, and we will guide you through every step, including the options for completing in person or remotely. Full details are provided to the winner.
Are there any ongoing costs if I keep the apartment?
Like any property, the apartment has running costs such as community fees for the resort facilities, local property tax (IBI) and utilities. These become the responsibility of the owner once the property is transferred. We are happy to talk through what to expect when we contact the winner.
How long do I have to decide between the apartment and the cash?
We will contact you shortly after the draw to confirm your win and walk you through your options. You will be given a reasonable period to make your decision, which we will confirm with you directly at the time.
Can I sell or rent out the apartment?
Once the apartment is transferred into your name it is yours to do with as you wish. Many owners in El Raso use their apartment as a holiday home or rent it out as an investment, thanks to the resort facilities and its popularity with holidaymakers.
How is the winner chosen?
We use a mixture of live & auto draws. Live draws are streamed on Facebook using a random number generator to determine the winning ticket number. You’ll be contacted directly if you have won.
Can the draw date change?
